Learn About Ram 1500 Towing in Our New Braunfels Showroom

Here at Bluebonnet Chrysler Dodge, the Ram 1500 always makes a big impression. This is Texas after all and here in our New Braunfels showroom, people expect to find the tough pickup truck and know they can count on it to get the job done. When it comes to being able to tow, the Ram 1500 can handle quite a bit, and we have a quick guide for you about its towing capacities.

With multiple trims to choose from, and different bed sizes and cabin sizes, your towing will vary on your setup. However, you can expect to find either a 3.6-liter V6 engine or a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engine with either 4x2 or 4x4 offerings. Also, selected Ram 1500 options have eTorque, which uses an electric motor to add power to the wheels when hauling a load, so it saves on fuel economy, but keeps performance high.

As for towing, the Ram 1500 with a V6 engine can tow up to 7,500 pounds in the 4x2 setup, while the Ram 1500 with V8 options is able to tow 11,610 pounds using the 4x2 option. Between that range there's lots of different numbers but those are the max for many of the most common models.

We're here to discuss it all and help you determine which one of the Ram 1500 options is right for you based on your needs here at Bluebonnet Chrysler Dodge in New Braunfels. Contact us if you'd like to get started and we'd be happy to showcase all the features and capabilities of the Ram 1500 when you come in and see us, and set up a test drive at your convenience.
